Ingredients:

Yield: 6-8 servings
1 pound ziti pasta
1 pound ground beef
1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce
1 cup of ricotta cheese
2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Instructions:

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the ziti pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spoon or spatula as it cooks.
Step 5
Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
Step 6
Add the cooked ziti pasta to the skillet and stir until the pasta is coated with the sauce.
Step 7
Grease a large baking dish and transfer the pasta and sauce mixture to the dish.
Step 8
Dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese over the top of the pasta mixture, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
Step 9
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the pasta is heated through.
Step 10
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious baked ziti!
