This hearty and spicy dish is perfect for a cozy night in or as part of a casual dinner party. The tender beef and creamy black beans are cooked with a blend of fragrant spices, creating a rich and flavorful chilli that will warm you up from the inside out.

Ingredients:

Yield: servings
1 pound of ground beef
1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of chilli powder
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of oregano
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
2 cups of beef broth

Instructions:

Step 1
Heat up the olive oil in a large pot or saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking up any large chunks with a wooden spoon.
Step 3
Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
Step 4
Add the chilli powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to evenly coat the beef and onion mixture with the spices.
Step 5
Pour in the can of diced tomatoes and the drained and rinsed black beans. Stir to combine.
Step 6
Add 2 cups of beef broth to the pot and stir.
Step 7
Bring the chilli to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Serve hot with some shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped fresh cilantro on top.
