Ingredients:
Yield: 4 servings
1 pizza crust, homemade or store-bought
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 lb beef or veal bone marrow, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of fresh thyme, chopped
Salt and black pepper, to taste
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup of sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Step 2
Roll out the pizza crust onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
Step 3
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Brush this mixture over the pizza crust.
Step 4
Bake the pizza crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Step 5
While the pizza crust is baking, prepare the bone marrow. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bone marrow, thyme, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 7-8 minutes, or until the bone marrow is browned and crispy.
Step 6
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat again until well mixed.
Step 7
Spread the cream cheese mixture all over the cooked pizza crust, making sure to leave a little bit of crust around the edges for the bone marrow.
Step 8
Evenly distribute the cooked bone marrow pieces over the top of the cheesecake mixture.
Step 9
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the cheesecake mixture is set and golden brown on top.
Step 10
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve hot, enjoying the unique combination of flavors in every bite!
