Ingredients:

Yield: 4 servings
4 slices of sourdough bread
4 oz of pre-made foie gras paté
1/4 cup of your favorite fruit compote or chutney (we recommend fig or apple)
Sea salt flakes to taste
1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions:

Step 1
Preheat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Spread the foie gras paté generously on one side of the sourdough bread slices, leaving a small border around the edges.
Step 3
Once the pan is hot, add the butter and let it melt, making sure to coat the entire bottom of the pan.
Step 4
Place the bread slices foie gras-side down in the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
Step 5
Using a spatula, carefully flip the bread slices over and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the foie gras is slightly melted and heated through.
Step 6
Once the bread slices are cooked to your liking, remove them from the pan and let them cool for a minute.
Step 7
Spread a generous amount of fruit compote on top of the foie gras.
Step 8
Sprinkle sea salt flakes on top for extra flavor.
Step 9
Serve hot and enjoy as a decadent appetizer or light meal.
