Thick slices of fluffy bread are soaked in a boozy mixture of Jack Daniels whiskey, eggs and milk, before being fried to golden perfection. Ingredients:

Yield: 2-3 servings
6 slices of thick bread, such as brioche or challah
4 large eggs
1/4 cup Jack Daniels whiskey
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup maple syrup
6 slices of bacon
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions:

Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, Jack Daniels whiskey, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Step 2
Place the bread slices in a shallow dish and pour the egg mixture over them. Make sure each slice is fully coated, then let them sit for 10 minutes to soak up the liquid.
Step 3
In a large non-stick pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to drain.

In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add in the soaked bread slices and cook until golden brown on both sides.
