Ingredients:
Yield: 4-6 servings
1 pound ground pork
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
12 small tortillas
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 limes, cut into wedges
Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices throughout the meat.
Step 3
Add the chorizo mixture to the preheated skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon into small pieces. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the meat is browned and cooked through.
Step 4
Add white vinegar and water to the skillet and stir well. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes, until the liquid is reduced and the mixture is thick and saucy.
Step 5
Meanwhile, wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and heat them in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Once the chorizo mixture is ready, assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with a generous spoonful of meat and topped with chopped cilantro.
Step 7
Serve with lime wedges on the side, allowing your guests to squeeze a fresh burst of citrus over their tacos before enjoying!
