If you love buttery and crispy grilled cheese sandwiches, this recipe is for you. With extra butter and perfectly melted cheese, this sandwich is the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients:

Yield: 1 servings
2 slices of fluffy and pillowy white bread
2 slices of good quality cheese like cheddar or American
3 teaspoons of butter

Instructions:

Step 1
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Make sure the pan is not too hot.
Step 2
Collect your bread, cheese, and butter.
Step 3
Take the two slices of bread and spread 1.5 teaspoons of unsalted butter evenly on one side of each slice.
Step 4
Put one of the bread slices butter-side down in the heated pan. You should hear a sizzle when the bread hits the pan.
Step 5
Place the two slices of cheese on top of the first slice of bread in the pan, making sure to evenly distribute them.
Step 6
Take the second slice of bread and put it on top of the cheese, butter-side up.
Step 7
Leave the sandwich to cook for 1-2 minutes, checking occasionally to make sure that the bottom of the sandwich isn't burning but is golden brown.
Step 8
Before flipping the sandwich, add the remaining 1.5 teaspoons of butter to the pan and let it melt.
Step 9
Gently flip the sandwich over. Cook for another minute or two on the other side until golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is perfectly melted.
Step 10
Once both sides of the sandwich are golden brown, take the sandwich out of the pan and let it cool for a minute or two.
Step 11
Cut the sandwich in half and serve hot. Pair it with some tomato soup or a side salad for a complete meal.
